Lead JavaScript Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead JavaScript Developer to join our team.
You will work across the full stack, designing and implementing features and services for the product, and ensuring long-term quality, scalability, and maintainability of our systems. As a hands-on mentor, you will drive quality and reliability from the get-go, breaking complex goals into simple and iterative deliverables. You will also interview candidates for your and other teams, participate in code reviews and system design interviews.
responsibilities
- Work across the full stack depending on where you can drive the highest impact: back-end, front-end as well as testing, and cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement features and services for the product your team owns, and keep the design choices well documented and explained
- Be a hands-on mentor and drive quality and reliability from the get-go, lowering the complexity of the system
- Master one or more domains and break complex goals into simple and iterative deliverables
- Interview candidates for your and other teams, participating in both code reviews and system design interviews
- Commit to high-speed iterations, high code quality, and continuous improvement via agile processes
- Ensure the long-term quality, scalability, and maintainability of our systems
- Provide the DevOps culture, treat operations with a mission-critical mindset, and support the live system in production
requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Node.js development, demonstrating your proficiency in building scalable and high-performance systems
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, Apache Kafka, and Amazon RDS, enabling you to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions
- Experience with agile processes
- Excellent communication skills and strong critical thinking capabilities, enabling you to effectively convey feedback and insights
- Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively, maintaining a high level of performance even under pressure
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
