Lead Microsoft Power Apps Developer
We are seeking a Lead Microsoft Power Apps Developer to join our remote team.
Your primary focus will be on creating user-friendly applications within the Power Apps platform. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Power Apps solutions. If you are an experienced developer with a deep understanding of Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure DevOps, this is an excellent opportunity to work on a remote project and make a significant impact on a high-profile project.
responsibilities
- Create user-friendly applications using low-code or no-code methods within the Power Apps platform
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Power Apps solutions
- Integrate Power Apps with various data sources such as SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel, Dynamics 365, or other APIs to ensure seamless data flow and functionality within applications
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power Apps solutions effectively
- Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytical requirements
- Create visually compelling and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI using Power Query
- Write and optimize Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) formulas to perform calculations, define measures, and create calculated columns for advanced analytics and KPI tracking
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and queries
- Optimize data models, queries, and report design to improve responsiveness and minimize load times
requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft Power Apps development, including canvas apps and model-driven apps
- A minimum of 1 year experience in leading software development teams, demonstrating excellent leadership skills
- Deep understanding of data modeling and relational databases
- Expertise with Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Automate and Power BI
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and integration capabilities
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, report design, and DAX programming
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling principles
- Profound experience with SQL querying and relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database)
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and design principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Apps and Power Automate
- Proficiency in Python programming
