Lead Node.js API Developer
We are seeking a talented Lead Node.js Developer to join our remote team, working with a global leader in the technology industry.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing new features for API services, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, and communicating with customers to clarify requirements or issues details. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including AWS Lambda, GitLab CI, Amazon Web Services, PostgreSQL, NestJS, and REST API. responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in API services, ensuring high-quality and reliable software solutions
- Communicate with customers to clarify requirements or issues details, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful project delivery
- Implement API services on AWS, including code, testing, and debugging
- Prepare appropriate documentation, such as program code and technical documents, ensuring clear and concise communication across teams
- Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Designers, and Business Analysts, to understand product requirements and user needs
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, contributing to the development of high-quality software solutions
requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, specializing in Node.js and REST API development
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in AWS Lambda, Gitlab CI, and Amazon Web Services, with a strong understanding of serverless architecture
- Experience in leading and managing a team of developers, demonstrating your ability to mentor and guide junior developers
- Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with experience in Agile software development
- Expertise in database design and management, with experience in PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in NestJS, showcasing your ability to build scalable and maintainable applications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience in frontend development, with expertise in React or Angular
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics, with experience in integrating these technologies into software applications
