Lead Performance Test Engineer
We are seeking a Lead Performance Test Engineer to join our remote team.
Your primary role will be to test the capacity, stability, and scalability of 3rd party applications before they are integrated into our client's system. This role requires developing and executing tests and ensuring that systems are operating at their highest capabilities. You will be responsible for providing excellent service to our clients and collaborating effectively with other team members primarily located in North American time zones.

- Test the capacity, stability, and scalability of 3rd party applications before they are integrated into our client's system
- Develop and execute performance test plans, including test scripts and test data
- Set up performance testing frameworks with persistent test data storage and trend analysis
- Create backend performance scripts to test REST API/queries, etc., and generate/obtain test data
- Monitor the environment under test and help development teams with performance issues identification
- Participate in defect triage discussions and challenge development perception of priority
- Collaborate effectively with other team members
requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in performance testing
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Strong understanding of performance testing fundamentals and tools
- Ability to create and execute performance test plans, including test scripts and test data
- Expertise in setting up performance testing frameworks with persistent test data storage and trend analysis
- Experience in stubbing/mocking dependencies and creating backend performance scripts to test REST API/queries, etc.
- Ability to generate/obtain test data and monitor the environment under test
- Experience in helping development teams with performance issues identification and participating in defect triage discussions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a startup-like environment
- Proficient in English language, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of competency for seamless communication with team members and clients
