We are seeking a remote Middle Build Engineer to join our team. As part of the team, you will play an essential role in measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. You will be responsible for scaling systems sustainably through automation and partnering with development teams to improve system reliability and release velocity. If you are a strong advocate of sound engineering practices and have experience with administration of Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems, then this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills.

responsibilities
  • Maintain the services in the CIAM, Administration, Rights & Entitlements Technology domain by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
  • Scale systems sustainably through automation and partner with development teams to improve system reliability and release velocity
  • Participate in capacity planning, on-call rotations, incident response, blameless postmortems, and root cause analysis and resolution
  • Be a vocal advocate of strong/sound engineering practices that allow us to build, deploy, and run scalable, reliable, and performant services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects and initiatives
requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong experience in Object-Oriented programming in languages like C#, Java, Python, or Go
  • Hands-on experience with administration of Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Ability to read a code in C#, Java, or .NET
  • Good experience with Amazon Web Services (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with CI/CD principles and practices using tools like Rundeck or Jenkins
  • Proficient in monitoring and visualization tools like Grafana, Splunk, ELK, or CloudWatch
  • Good understanding of web technologies like HTML and JSON
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of proficiency
nice to have
  • Knowledge of computer algorithms and architecture and design patterns
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting practices
  • Estimation and release strategy principles and practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred)
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, identity and access management, and application security
