Middle Network Support Engineer
Our company is seeking a Middle Network Support Engineer to join our remote team.
The ideal candidate will provide ongoing support for the global data network, serving as level 3 support for all network-related support tasks and troubleshooting.
As a Middle Network Support Engineer, the candidate will design, develop, and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure while performing an on-call duty for non-business hours support as per shift assignments. responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues
- Maintain all monitoring and reporting systems
- Produce and maintain documentation related to all developed/deployed systems
- Configure and install various network devices and services like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in network infrastructure support
- CCNP Certification and BA Degree/B.S. Degree
- Experience with Firewalls, Infrastructure, LAN technologies, OSI and TCP/IP models, and WAN technologies
- Familiarity with Next Gen Firewalls like Cisco Firepower and firewall cloud services like Zscaler
- Thorough understanding of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of competency
- Ability to participate and represent the team in change and incident management meetings
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with the customer
nice to have
- Experience with SD-WAN like Silver Peak
- Knowledge in configuring/troubleshooting wireless like Cisco WLC preferred
- Experience in Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
