SAP R2R Software Architect
We are looking for an experienced remote SAP R2R Software Architect with a primary skill in SAP FICO to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of SAP solutions, including SAP Controlling, SAP Financial Accounting, and SAP S/4HANA for central finance.You will also be responsible for driving architecture governance and methodologies to ensure consistency, communication, and cooperation across the R2R domain of architecture.
responsibilities
- Support assessment of current customer solutions and potential areas of opportunity for SAP solution implementation
- Support adjustment and development Record-to-Report (R2R) functional requirements and identification of related IT and business enablers from the initial point of view around customer initiatives to the final blueprint as a base for SAP implementation
- Drive architecture governance and methodologies to ensure consistency, communication, and cooperation across the R2R domain of architecture
- Partake in the customer engagement lifecycle, and act as an integral member of the account engagement team
- Define and integrate business, data, application, and the technical R2R architecture domain
- Lead/support the target architecture & customer roadmap development and maintain alignment with SAP solutions
- Proactively introduce innovation topics to solve specific customer needs
- Build personal customer relationships and support EPAM sales team in detailed customer (solution) discovery discussions
- Stay up to date about R2R improvement trends and the actual SAP portfolio of related solutions to formulate a customer roadmap
- Estimate work efforts relating to the R2R process and related organizational design improvement, SAP technical configuration, and development
requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of production experience in SAP development and delivery
- At least 2 projects in a technical team lead role with constant hands-on work during the last 3 years
- At least 1 year of experience as a Software Architect in SAP
- Expertise in SAP FICO, including SAP Controlling, SAP Financial Accounting, and SAP S/4HANA for central finance
- High-level understanding of budgeting and S&OP processes, cost allocation methods, fast closing approaches
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA (Finance, Controlling) functionality
- Ability to align and effectively communicate with customer IT and business organizations
- Experience in R2R business architecture development with knowledge of related business processes, SAP solutions, and delivery methodology
- Capability to present SAP features and innovations filtered and focused on potential customer needs related to the R2R domain
- Ability to identify R2R-related business opportunities and solution gaps, as well as develop gap closure options
- Experience in frameworks such as PMP, SAP Architectural and Design Thinking, and TOGAF
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
nice to have
- High-level understanding of product capabilities, functionality, and technologies of SAP S/4HANA (Logistics), CFin, PaPM, BPC, IBP, and related deployment options
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting processes and principles
- Knowledge of sales process cycle, account, and go-to-market planning in IT service sales
