Senior Accessibility Consultant
Join our remote team in the role of Senior Accessibility Consultant, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our products are accessible to everyone.
As part of this position, you will pinpoint, record, and validate accessibility issues across our product range. Leveraging your comprehensive understanding of accessibility testing methods, A11y standards, and assistive technologies, you will help uphold the highest standards of product accessibility. Your expertise in A11y consulting and testing strategies will be instrumental in guiding our development teams to prioritize accessibility from the outset of their SDLC.
responsibilities
- Identification, documentation, and verification of accessibility issues within our products
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams for SDLC integration of accessibility
- Provision of A11y consultancy to guide development teams towards creating accessible products from the SDLC inception
- Conducting accessibility testing utilizing a variety of approaches and processes to uphold A11y standards compliance
- Stakeholder education on A11y standards and the significance of product accessibility
- Continuous enhancement of our accessibility testing processes and methodologies
requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Accessibility Testing
- Proficiency in A11y within SDLC, A11y Standards comprehension and application, and A11y testing strategies and processes
- Prior experience in Accessibility Consulting, guiding development teams towards the creation of accessible products
- Familiarity with screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams for integrating accessibility into the SDLC
- Exceptional English communication skills, with an upper-intermediate proficiency level
nice to have
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
