Senior AWS DevOps Engineer
Your main task will be creating and establishing operational infrastructure to enhance online services, particularly in the media realm, with a keen eye on automation. Working within a capable remote team, you'll collaborate frequently with domain experts and senior tech professionals. Your role entails identifying existing use cases and devising solutions to meet current and future needs in a modern fashion.
responsibilities
- Craft and fortify operational infrastructure supporting online media services, emphasizing automation
- Participate in pivotal infrastructure deliberations with developers, QA specialists, and product stakeholders to propel project fruition
- Provide technical guidance, ensuring engineers grasp the infrastructure strategy and vision clearly
- Collaborate with peers to steer individual delivery streams and architect program-level infrastructure
- Express technical solutions cogently through written documentation
- Lead and engage in regular code reviews, often in a mentoring capacity, to uphold superior development standards
- Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues across production and non-production environments via effective team communication and collaboration
requirements
- Minimum 4 years of IT experience, encompassing Software Development and Systems Engineering
- Proficiency in at least one production programming/scripting language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
- Command over Bash/PowerShell
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, with a specific focus on Terraform
- Thorough understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) networking, compute, IAM, S3, auto-scaling, and DevOps Guru
- Competence in Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Solid comprehension of Linux systems
- Experience in incident handling and readiness to participate in on-call rotations
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written (B2 level)
nice to have
- Significant experience in managing Windows Server VMs in the cloud and related aspects
- Previous exposure to Prometheus/Alertmanager/Grafana
- Familiarity with Nomad
- Experience in CI/CD, crafting pipelines, and configuring Jenkins or similar systems
