Senior Cloud Platform Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Platform Developer to join our remote team.

As a Senior Cloud Platform Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches. Your expertise will be critical in creating efficient CI/CD pipelines and automating cloud-specific deployment models using GitHub Actions. You will collaborate closely with the development team from the client side to integrate new functionalities and continuously analyze and enhance existing systems, services, and infrastructure.

responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using IaC approach on GCP
  • Create CI/CD pipelines and automation with cloud-specific deployment models using GitHub Actions
  • Analyze and improve existing systems, services, and infrastructure
  • Develop and integrate new functionality in close collaboration with the development team from the client side
  • Follow standards, best practices, and guides to ensure the reliability and scalability of the cloud platform
  • Communicate with customers on a daily basis to understand their requirements and provide technical support
  • Request different services or permissions from the Central Cloud Engineering team through an established process in JIRA
  • Implement Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting based on the Architectural design document
requirements
  • 5+ years of proven work experience as a Cloud Platform Developer or similar role
  • Proficient in Shell scripting for automating tasks and processes
  • Solid understanding of GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment
  • GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) Working Knowledge for container orchestration
  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Familiarity with Anthos Service Mesh/Istio for managing microservices architectures
  • Networking skills, particularly in setting up firewall rules for secure communication
  • Proficiency in Helm charts for packaging, deploying, and managing applications on Kubernetes
  • Expertise in GCP Monitoring and Logging to ensure performance and troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Strong English language skills (B2+ level) for effective communication and documentation
