Senior DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and work remotely. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with a leading provider of financial services and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools needed to support the software development lifecycle. responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and tools needed to support the software development lifecycle and ensure high availability, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that the infrastructure and tools meet their needs and that they can deploy and release software efficiently and reliably
- Develop and maintain automated build, deployment, and testing processes and workflows
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Ensure compliance with security and compliance best practices and standards, and implement firewalls and other security controls
- Contribute to the development of DevOps best practices, standards, and processes, and mentor junior team members
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production systems
requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on infrastructure and tooling
- Experience with Continuous Integration Development & Maintenance using tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/CD
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code, and experience with Google Kubernetes Engine for container orchestration and deployment
- Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting and experience with Bash or Python
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies, particularly Istio and Anthos Service Mesh
- Experience with GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment
- Experience with firewalls, security, and compliance best practices
- Experience with Helm for packaging and deploying applications
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience with other cloud providers, such as AWS or Azure, and with multi-cloud architectures
- Experience with other service mesh technologies, such as Linkerd or Consul
