Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in CI/CD, SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris Commerce), Microsoft Azure, and UNIX shell scripting to join our remote team. This position is client-facing, and creative staffing options are possible, including splitting the overall needed capacity between multiple roles, overtime, etc.

responsibilities

Reenvision and rebuild the CI/CD infrastructure of Georgia-Pacific, including the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines
Work closely with the client to understand their needs and requirements, and provide innovative solutions to complex problems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of DevOps processes with other departments and functions
Manage the deployment, management, and monitoring of applications on Microsoft Azure, including the optimization of Azure services for cost and performance
Automate and orchestrate infrastructure tasks using UNIX shell scripting and other automation tools
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and continuously improve the DevOps processes for Georgia-Pacific

requirements

3+ years of experience in DevOps, with an emphasis on CI/CD and SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris Commerce)
Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, including source code management, build/deploy automation, and test automation
Proficiency in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris Commerce)'s Commerce Cloud v1 (CCv1) private hosting solution offered by SAP
Expertise in Microsoft Azure, including deployment, management, and monitoring, as well as the integration of Azure services in a hybrid cloud environment
Strong UNIX shell scripting skills for automation and orchestration
Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing root cause analysis
Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an upper-intermediate level

nice to have

Familiarity with other cloud platforms, such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform
Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices
Experience with container orchestration platforms, such as Docker Swarm and AWS ECS
