We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and contribute to a cutting-edge project focused on Microsoft Azure. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the secure and efficient operation of our Azure infrastructure, collaborating with a global leader in information services and publishing. Your responsibilities will include identifying and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities, automating CI/CD processes, deploying container services, and integrating with third-party applications. Your role will also entail working closely with our internal security team to maintain and improve our overall security posture, leading the implementation of remediation tasks, and tracking open security tasks to ensure timely resolution. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating well-written documentation and procedures and providing transparency and visibility for the results of the strategic initiatives.
responsibilities
- Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities to ensure secure infrastructure operation, working closely with the internal security team
- Automate CI/CD processes, deploying container services and integrating with third-party applications
- Implement and maintain secure Azure infrastructure, including Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Security
- Track open security tasks and request exceptions to the Global Infosec team when required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in line with project goals and timelines
- Create well-written documentation and procedures and provide transparency and visibility for the results of the strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills
requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure, working with complex cloud infrastructure and application development
- Proven experience in scripting/automating and CI/CD in Azure, ensuring efficient delivery of application releases
- Expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Security, designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation and management
- Solid experience with container technologies, specifically with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Service, for container orchestration and deployment
- Proficiency in network security, including experience with Azure network/hub-and-spoke, NVAs/Palo Alto, and WebApps
- Experience with databases, including Cosmos DB and MS SQL, and integration with Salesforce
- Familiarity with Operation Management Technologies, such as Azure Monitor or Datadog, for effective monitoring and observability
- Strong analytical skills, enabling effective problem-solving and decision-making in complex environments
- Ability to effectively communicate technical projects to various staff types to achieve support for plans and proposals
- English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level, enabling effective collaboration, presentation, and discussion with the team and stakeholders
