Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our remote team.

In this position, you will work on a project that involves developing data pipelines for a cloud-based system. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-quality software solutions using Java. You will work in an Agile environment, following the XP process with a focus on Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair programming.

responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using Java
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Designers, and other Developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Adhere to Agile methodologies and follow the XP process including Pair programming and TDD
  • Write unit and integration tests and ensure code quality through code reviews and testing
  • Ensure timely delivery of software solutions and manage project timelines
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software design, development and testing
  • Strong knowledge of Java, with experience in Spring
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Experience with Cloud technologies
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to write unit and integration tests
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)
nice to have
  • Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes
