Senior Java Developer
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java Developer to join our remote team, responsible for implementing the Back-End functionality of our customer's Data Platform. The goal of the project is to implement Transcripts building block, which will be responsible for transcribing speech to text and publishing to other services. In scope is also the translation of the transcription. The Data Platform is AWS based. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for the implementation of Back-End functionality, working in close collaboration with Front-End colleagues and being part of Scrum team.
responsibilities
- Develop Back-End functionality using Java and related technologies, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions
- Collaborate with Front-End colleagues to ensure seamless integration with the Back-End, providing valuable insights and feedback
- Participate in Scrum meetings, providing updates on progress, and identifying potential issues
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, contributing to the development of a high-quality codebase
- Contribute to the development of automated testing and deployment processes, streamlining development efforts and ensuring high-quality code
- Participate in code reviews, offering feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability
- Ensure the security and reliability of the application, adhering to security protocols and best practices
requirements
- Strong Java skills, demonstrating your proficiency in developing high-quality, scalable software solutions
- Experience with AWS EC2 and ECS, enabling you to leverage cloud technologies in your development efforts
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, REST, and Microservice Architecture Pattern, allowing you to develop efficient and reliable Back-End solutions
- Experience with JWT tokens, showcasing your knowledge of security protocols and best practices
- Proficient in using IntelliJ IDEA, Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and SonarQube, enabling you to streamline your development processes and ensure high-quality code
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and CloudWatch, highlighting your ability to work with cloud-based infrastructure and monitor and manage your applications effectively
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, allowing you to communicate effectively with your team and stakeholders
nice to have
- Previous experience with Refinitiv Data Platform / CDF / uDBoRs, showcasing your familiarity with financial data platforms and related technologies
