Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our remote team, working in the investment banking domain with a global leader in financial services. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients, leveraging your expertise in Java, Spring, and Microservice Architecture Patterns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software solutions, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance
  • Develop and maintain Microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring that they are scalable, resilient, and secure
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to provide seamless integration between different software components
  • Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support data processing and reporting
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, ensuring that they are following best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that code is well-documented and maintainable
requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development, demonstrating expertise in Java 8 and Spring frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of Microservice Architecture Patterns and experience working with Spring Boot
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its services
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL and experience with Oracle RDBMS
  • Experience in developing and deploying applications in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices and methodologies
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices
