Senior Java Developer for a Media Company
We are currently looking for a remote Senior Java Developer to join the global team.
The customer is a Canadian-American multinational media conglomerate. The company was founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where it is headquartered at the Bay Adelaide Centre.
responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality work on time in a high-energy environment while collaborating and brainstorming with other developers in a dynamic team environment
- Contribute to the maintenance and support of production systems as necessary
- Write clean Java and/or JavaScript code that is easy to understand
- Work independently with minimal direction and guidance to achieve goals
requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Java
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented development
- Understanding of architectural patterns and design
- Knowledge of REST
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Spring Boot
nice to have
- Experience with source control utilities, such as Git
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience
- Comfortable doing small-scale design in addition to hands-on development
- Experience with web technologies is a plus (JavaScript, CSS and HTML 5)
- Knowledge of Tomcat, Hibernate/JPA, UML, React
