Senior Network Support Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Network Support Engineer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing support for the global data network, serving as level 3 support for all network-related support tasks and troubleshooting.
This role requires extensive experience in troubleshooting network issues, configuring/installing various network devices and services like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues
- Maintain all monitoring and reporting systems
- Produce and maintain documentation related to all developed/deployed systems
- Configure and install various network devices and services like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
- Be open for 24x7 availability
- Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Monitor and mentor junior members of the team
requirements
- 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure support
- CCNP Certification and BA Degree/B.S. Degree
- Experience with Firewalls, Infrastructure, LAN technologies, OSI and TCP/IP models, and WAN technologies
- Knowledge of Next Gen Firewalls like Cisco Firepower and firewall cloud services like Zscaler
- Strong understanding of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Experience working on the applications such as SAP, Citrix, Portal, etc.
- Must be able to participate and represent the team in change and incident management meetings
- Good communication skills to interact clearly with the customer
- B2+ English level proficiency
nice to have
- Experience with SD-WAN like Silver Peak
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge in configuring/troubleshooting wireless like Cisco WLC preferred
- Experience with Cisco IOS
