Senior Network Support Engineer
We are on the lookout for a Senior Network Support Engineer to become part of our remote team, offering continuous daily support for an international data network.
The role's primary duties will involve the design, development, and deployment of LAN/WAN network infrastructure. It calls for a rich background in addressing network issues, setting up a range of network devices and services (such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.), and operating within established configuration and change management policies to ensure the successful implementation of network infrastructure changes. responsibilities
- Third-level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues
- Maintenance of all monitoring and reporting systems
- Creation and updating of documentation related to all developed/deployed systems
- Execution of administrative tasks related to time entry and status reporting
- Configuration and installation of various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Monitoring of performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
- Observation of system resource usage, trending, and capacity planning
- Adherence to established configuration and change management policies
- Selection and implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in coordination with the company’s security team
- Collaboration with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Provision of technical training to internal resources
requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in network support and administration, ideally in a global setting
- Requirement of CCNP Certification, complemented by a BA Degree / B.S. Degree
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN network infrastructure design, development, and deployment
- Experience in configuring/installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and performing network maintenance and system upgrades
- Proficiency in monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
- Experience in adhering to established configuration and change management policies
- Proficiency in selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with stakeholders and team members
- Willingness to be available 24x7
nice to have
- Experience with SD-WAN, preferably with Silver Peak
- Experience with Next Gen Firewalls, preferably with Cisco Firepower
- Ability to troubleshoot routing loops
- Knowledge in configuring/troubleshooting wireless, preferably with Cisco WLC
- Experience in configuring/troubleshooting routing protocols – EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
