Senior Node.js Developer
We are seeking a Senior Node.js Developer to join our team, working with a British luxury fashion house headquartered in London, England. With a focus on developing outdoor attire, this brand has moved into the high fashion market, exclusively developing a breathable and waterproof fabric. As a Senior Node.js Developer, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining the brand's software solutions, ensuring their reliability and scalability.
responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and reliable software solutions using Node.js and modern frameworks
- Deploy and maintain applications on Amazon Web Services, ensuring their reliability and scalability
- Implement efficient data storage solutions using various databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and Redis
- Debug and fix complex issues, ensuring the software solutions meet high standards of quality and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and user needs, and provide valuable insights to enhance the software solutions
- Prepare appropriate documentation such as program code and technical documents
- Communicate with customers to clarify requirements or issues details
requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Node.js development, showcasing your proficiency in building scalable and reliable applications
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services, including EC2, Lambda, and RDS, to deploy and maintain applications
- Proficiency in various databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and Redis, to design and develop efficient data storage solutions
- Experience with modern Node.js frameworks such as Meteor, NestJS, Koa, and Express, to build robust and scalable APIs and web applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and fix complex issues
- Strong understanding of software development principles such as SOLID, DRY, and KISS
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha, to ensure the quality of software solutions
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular, to develop full-stack applications
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, to deploy and manage applications in a containerized environment.
