Senior Python Back-End Web Engineer

We are looking for an experienced remote Senior Python Back-End Web Engineer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will use your expertise in complex Python applications to develop and deploy high-performance web applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in RDBMS databases, especially PostgreSQL, and experience building RESTful APIs using JSON. You will also be familiar with using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GIT to deploy applications to high-reliability production environments.

responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy high-performance web applications using Python and Flask-RESTful
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement RESTful APIs using JSON
  • Deploy applications to high-reliability production environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
  • Develop and maintain scalable databases using PostgreSQL
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard of quality
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and other development processes as needed
requirements
  • 3+ years of experience developing database-driven web applications and high-performance application systems
  • Excellent development skills in complex Python applications
  • Strong skills in RDBMS databases, especially PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in using and building RESTful API’s and JSON
  • Experience deploying to high reliability production environments
  • Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GIT
  • Strong object-oriented programming and application design skills
  • B2+ English level proficiency
nice to have
  • Experience with ReactJS and Redux
  • Knowledge of OpenAPI Spec (OAS)
  • Scripting experience in additional languages such as Perl, Ruby, and Python
  • Familiarity with UX design principles
