Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team and work on an exciting project that involves developing Python backend services.

The project focuses on developing ETL/ELT solutions and updating Python ETL scripts that move data from PostgreSQL to BigQuery. As a Senior Python Web Developer, you will have at least 3 years of backend programming experience. You will be experienced with HTTP APIs, especially REST, and comfortable with type systems. Additionally, you will be thoroughly experienced with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.

responsibilities
  • Develop Python backend services, particularly HTTP APIs, using Python/SQL regularly
  • Update Python ETL scripts that move data from PostgreSQL to BigQuery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure code quality standards are met
  • Continuously learn and research new technologies to improve software development processes
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers
requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of backend programming experience, including production-level Python experience
  • Thoroughly experienced with HTTP APIs, especially REST
  • Experienced with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT solutions
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Comfortable with type systems
  • Excellent communicational and cooperation skills
  • Fluency in English, with an Upper-Intermediate level of proficiency
nice to have
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar degree preferred
  • Experience with FastAPI
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud BigQuery and Kubernetes
