Senior Ruby on Rails Developer
We are seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join our dynamic remote team, working in the software and hi-tech industry. responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions using Ruby and related frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues, ensuring seamless and user-centered designs
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to software development best practices
- Contribute to the development of REST APIs, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Develop and maintain database schemas and queries using MySQL or other relational databases
- Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to the development team
- Assist in the development of technical documentation and user manuals
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development
requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Ruby development, demonstrating your proficiency in designing and developing software solutions using Ruby and related frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of Ruby frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, or Hanami, highlighting your understanding of the broader Ruby landscape
- Practical experience with Gitlab, showcasing your ability to manage code repositories and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in designing and developing REST APIs, enabling you to create scalable and maintainable software solutions
- Expertise in MySQL or other relational databases, demonstrating your ability to design and develop database schemas and queries
- Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively, maintaining a high level of performance even under pressure
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
nice to have
- Experience in developing and deploying software solutions to cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure
- Experience in developing and maintaining microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Practical experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
