Senior SAP ABAP Developer
We are currently seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our remote team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions for a new S/4HANA system. You will work closely with our team of developers, architects, and business analysts to ensure that our system is optimized to meet the needs of our business. If you have a strong background in ABAP development and a passion for creating innovative solutions, we would love to hear from you.
responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to implementation and maintenance
- Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs using Core ABAP and CDS views
- Create SAP Fiori applications and extensions using SAPUI5 and OData services
- Implement ABAP RAP for building OData services and customizing standard SAP applications
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to Clean Core principles and coding best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in the S/4HANA system and provide timely resolutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all ABAP programs and customizations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices, and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and user experience
requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in ABAP development with a focus on S/4HANA
- Expertise in Core ABAP programming and CDS views
- Knowledge of Clean Core principles to ensure efficient and maintainable code
- Experience in developing and customizing SAP Fiori applications for optimal user experience
- Proven experience in implementing ABAP RESTful Programming Model (ABAP RAP) for building OData services
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills in English (B2+ level) to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
