Solution Architect (Java)

Join our team as a remote Solution Architect with expertise in Java and solution architecture to help us design and develop cutting-edge software.

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and evaluating architectures, technology options, and integration with existing platforms. You will also be responsible for technical supervision of the team, architecture review, and documentation.

responsibilities

Clarifying and gathering business requirements and quality attributes with business representatives
Solution designing, architectural styles and patterns evaluation, and options evaluation and PoC
Integration with existing EBSCO CI/CD platforms, contribution to EBSCO architecture decision log if required, and cost modeling
Feature readiness and functional and non-functional requirements tracking in design/solution
Work breakdown structure with high-level estimations, dependencies management, and architecture governance

requirements

Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in IT with focus on Java
3+ years of relevant leadership experience
Minimum 3 finished projects with system design and architecture from scratch
Extensive experience with Amazon Web services, Java, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, and RDBMS (MySQL)
Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, Mongo, DocumentDB) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Istio) is a plus
Ability to work in a large-scale Agile environment, preferably SAFe framework
Good communication skills and upper-intermediate level of English proficiency
