System Administrator
We are seeking a System Administrator to join our remote team, with a primary focus on server administration.
You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer platforms in a production environment in an on or off-premises infrastructure. You will also implement software solutions to configure infrastructure with code while maintaining an understanding of how services/projects/teams interact with other teams and primary services or applications. Your thorough working knowledge of automating infrastructure and configuration management will play an integral role within the team.
responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain computer platforms in a production environment in an on or off-premises infrastructure
- Implement software solutions to configure infrastructure with code
- Understand how services/projects/teams interact with other teams and primary services or applications
- Automate infrastructure and configuration management
- Create clear, concise, and organized communication that includes documentation, policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, and messages
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to solve problems and build an understanding of cross-dependencies
requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in server administration
- Knowledge of automation using scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with Kubernetes and virtualization tools such as VMware or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of server management and monitoring
- Knowledge of OS, system, and code testing tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and organized communication that includes documentation, policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, and messages
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of competency for seamless communication with team members and stakeholders
