You will partner with business analysts and customers to review and optimize requirements, ensuring the feasibility of design and integration with existing systems/platforms. You will work with developers to review and validate key functionality and integration while providing ongoing support of the suite of applications that would help manage pricing, trading, hedging, pooling, and shipping or other functions depending on the department.

The customer is a non-profit organization providing horse racing, sporting and betting entertainment in Hong Kong. Person should be able do both support development team with functional testing and help senior testers to write, conduct and investigate automation tests. The main pool of tasks is associated with conducting comprehensive testing to ensure the proposed solution meets the defined requirements – including development, integration, assurance and user acceptance testing. Pre-testing training on the system shall be provided to ensure testers understand the proposed solution functionalities. The project is focused on the development of the solution to help youths in Hong Kong fulfil their potential and make a seamless transition from school to productive work and a fulfilling life. The solution will be built using Open edX (which uses Django) as the core. Therefore, the project requires engineers with strong Django skills.

The project scope is to combine several CGR applications into a single Data Services Platform. The current goal is to build a basic Approval Authority System to allow CGR Data Services to manage and control access to various data types across the platform.

In this capacity, your role will involve the development and maintenance of Python-based applications through the use of frameworks like Fast API, Flask, and Django. Exceptional skills in algorithms and data structures are crucial, along with a thorough understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and unit test writing is also a necessity. As a senior figure, you will be expected to display leadership and mentorship abilities and contribute to the formulation of best practices in software development.
